Free Leeds city-centre bus

A Free City Bus, has operated from 30 January.

The service runs on a clockwise circular route aroun, and through the city centre, the shopping, business and cultural districts. see route below

Brand-new, easy access buses, built by Yorkshire firm Optare and operated by First, will run every few minutes from 6:30am to 7:30pm, Monday to Saturday.FreeCityBus will provide an ideal, free link to key parts of the city centre for people arriving in Leeds by train, bus or coach, reducing the need for them to bring their cars into the city.

The buses will be brightly marked with the FreeCityBus, logo, which will also be on the roof so it can be spotted by people from their office windows.

Manchester Airport is a far larger airport than Leeds Bradford, with a wider selection of schedule and charter flights. The disadvantage being that it is futher away, but there is a regular train service from Leeds City station to Manchester Airport station. The service runs 24 hrs,frequent during day & evening & not as frequent during the early hours of the morning
