Aberdeen International airport is also known as Dyce Airport

Aberdeen airport is the busiest heliport in the World, transporting goods and crew change personnel to the offshore oil platforms, drilling rigs, and the larger service ships in the North Sea.

Aberdeen International airport terminal

The largest of the terminals with the largest car parks outside.  This is the normal flights by aircraft teminal and the majority of customers are offshore workers heading home or arriving and then walking or taxiing to one of the heliport terminals.

The airport has Scottish, UK and International destinations.

The airport has the second largest number of flights in Scotland and the sixth in the UK.

There are 3 heliport terminals and 2 airport terminals: There is no internal method of transfering between any of these 3 terminals.  You leave one terminal and transfer by public road to the other.

East Heliport Terminal.

Used by Bond helicopters, located on the east side of the airport and 5- 10-minute walk from Dyce railway station.

West Heliport Terminal.

Located on the west side of the airport and a taxi ride from Dyce railway station.

Used for North sea crew changes

Broomfield House Terminal


Broomfield Househas located next to and to the left of the main International terminal. It is used mainly by the Oil companies for transporting oil workers to Scatsta airport in the Shetlands via charter aircraft,

The airporthas located 7 miles north west of the city of Aberdeen and just west of Dyce and the A947.

There are no national coach services to the airport. The nearest coach station is at the Guild Street bus station in central Aberdeen, opposite the rail station.

Dyce Railway Stationhas located to the east of the airport, although near to the airport perimetre it is on the wrong side for the terminal and is therefore a taxi or bus ride away. Taxi Tel numbers

The stationhas located on the Aberdeen - Inverness line. There are direct services to Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness

Driving to Aberdeen Airport

Aberdeen Airport is well signposted on all major roads over a wide area.

Leave Aberdeen on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road. After Bucksburn look out for signs to the airport which is via local roads for 2 to 3 kilometres

From south of Aberdeen you can bypass Aberdeen city centre using the A90 South Anderson Drive Anderson Drive North Anderson Drive. Turn left when reaching the A96 (see above).

Note Severe Traffic delays between Aberdeen and the airport and between Dyce and the airport at busy periods and rush hours, especially the evening rush hour.
