As London's third international gateway, Stansted Airport is the fourth busiest airport in the UK and serves over 21 million passengers a year. The airport has a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Stansted airport is located just off the M11 motorway 2 miles from the village of Stansted Mountfitchet from which the airport gets it's name.
The airport is 31 miles (50 km) North East of central London .

Rail and Train Connections
Stansted Airport's railway station is situated below the terminal building and only 2 minutes from the check in desks. Luggage trolleys are available at the station, and lifts and escalators take you two floors up into the main terminal building.
Central London is a 45 minute train journey away.

Stansted Express
Stansted Express is the fastest way between Stansted Airport and central London taking your customer directly into London Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale. Trains depart every 15 to 30 minutes with a journey time of 45 minutes. All services call at Tottenham Hale station in North London, which provides a fast link to the West End via the London Underground’s Victoria line. It takes less than an hour to get from Stansted Airport to Oxford Circus via Tottenham Hale. Stansted Express departs either every 15 or 30 minutes, dependant upon time of day. Our trains have been designed with the traveler in mind, with spacious luggage compartments adjacent to most doors and overhead racks for smaller bags. Access to the Terminal is just a 2 minute walk away from the platform. We offer both Express and First Class carriages. Freshly brewed coffee and continental style food is also available as well as a bar service from our at seat trolley service.
Bicycles are not permitted on the Stansted Express at anytime, however, they can be taken on the local train service into London.

An hourly local service calls at all principal stations between London Stansted Airport and Liverpool Street Station, stopping at: Stansted Mountfitchet, Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow Mill, Harlow Town, Roydon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Enfield Lock, Brimsdown, Ponders End, Tottenham Hale and Hackney Downs.
Central Trains Midlands and the North
This service connects London Stansted with Audley End, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham. It is possible to connect at Peterborough
to Leeds, York, Newcastle and Scotland; and at Leicester for Derby and Sheffield.
This service operates seven days a week with the first weekday train departing London Stansted at 06:19 Monday to Saturday and 09:15 on Sundays. The last
train to Cambridge will depart London Stansted 21:15 Monday to Saturday and 22:40 on Sundays.
All trains are air conditioned and have special facilities for disabled people and space for cycles which must be reserved in advance.

Stansted is a 1 terminal airport, with separate domestic & international flight areas.
but because some of the arrival / departure gates are some distance from the terminal lounge there is a monorail system to shuttle passengers to & fro. Depending on the gate this shuttle can take 10 15 minutes.
There are 2 stops, both servicing several gates.
