- Tropical World is located within the Canal Gardens Leeds 3 miles to the north of Leeds city centre in Princes Avenue,on the left hand side as you look up hill along Princes Avenue, opposite Mansion Lane Leeds, adjacent to the Canal Gardens
- An extremely popular tourist attraction suitable for adults and children, displaying the second largest collection of tropical plants in the UK. Both tropical rainfall and arid sections are displayed. There is an admission charge.
- Well worth a visit for both adults and children.

Buses to Tropical World from Leeds City Centre
- Ask driver for Roundhay Park, tropical World is 200 yards from the bus stop
- Roundhay Park is on the 2, 2b, 12 circular bus route. Buses number 2b & 12 go the most direct route. Buses number 2 go the long way via Moortown Corner
- Bus Route 2, 2b, 12 Roundhay Park or Moortown From New Market St. New Briggate Daytime every 10 min's, Sundays & evenings every 20 or 30 minutes
- Extra buses are allocated when there is an event on in Roundhay park
Photographs & description of Tropical World
- Tropical World is a wonderful way to experience the plants, fish and insects butterflies of tropical counties whether they are humid or arid.
- The hot houses are maintained at high temperatures, with pathways winding there way through lush vegetation, in some areas raised above ground level. You will find ponds and waterways with small and large colourful fish and water creatures. There is an area of large glass fronted aquarium tanks with exotic fish and another area of glass fronted show cases with small animals, reptiles and insects on show.
