How do I get my ticket

  • If time permitts your ticket will be posted to you
  • Else your ticket will be available from automatic ticket machines at the rail station
  • You will need a credit/debit card and the Code you will recieve on booking

Single ticket types


  • Apex single
  • Super advance single
  • Supersaver single
  • Standard open single

Return ticket types


  • Apex return

  • Saver first return

The cheapest tickets such as Apex and super advance, which require seat reservations, usually are not be available until around 2 weeks before the date of travel.

How would you like to receive your tickets?

  • First class post
    The tickets can be sent to you by post, but only to an address in the UK.
    Cheap tickets which need seat reservations will be sent when you order them.
    Other types of ticket will be sent to you a few days before the date of travel.
  • Fast Ticket
    At some of the larger stations you can collect your ticket from a Fast Ticket machine.
    You will need a reference number, which will be sent to your e mail address.
    The machines are normally located near the ticket office. To obtain your tickets, select Collect, insert the card you used for the booking, and enter your booking reference number.

 

Railcards for a third cheaper tickets

Tickets are cheaper if you use a Railcard which are valid for 1 year or 3 years. The 3 year card works out substancably cheaper per year, but only available on some cards

How to obtain a railcard


  • Buy online or at a Railway Station Ticket Office
    • You require a photograph & a form of ID
  • Railway Station. You can easily buy a railcard by going to a ticket office in train station. Bring a passport photo with you, as well as a form of ID. If you bring these items you can pay on the spot and they will print out a dated railcard for you which you can put alongside your tickets in the plastic wallet they provide.
